Our story began in Isparta, which is known for its world’s best quality roses and hand-woven carpets blended with rich Anatolian history & culture. The foundation of our strong structure passing from father to son was laid by Mehmet Gürkan in 1932.

İpliksan, first manifested itself in the textile world with woven carpets, became a powerful family-owned and operated business, known for its influential and successful activities in the fields of carpet yarn, cotton yarn, machine carpet, fuel oil transportation and rose oil production in 1970s.

Founded in 1973 with the aim of producing carpet yarn, İpliksan grew rapidly due to export initiatives in the 1980s and expanded its production area in 1986 by manufacturing hand knitting yarns. With its production capacity between 5000-7000 tons, İpliksan produces all kinds of hand knitting, basic and fancy yarns and continues to grow with new investments…

We become one of the biggest companies in Turkey in the field of hand knitting yarn.

For the fourth time in a row, we are ranked first in export, in Western Mediterranean Region.

Today, we are in 35 different countries with our Bravo brand.

We provided raw materials for Step Halı, which has opened exclusive stores in London, Paris, Washington, Hong Kong, and Milan, following Istanbul.

We became the first company in the textile sector to receive the TSE quality and ISO 9000 quality certificate.

Social Responsibility

As Gürkan family, our greatest source of pride is to contribute to the domestic production and therefore international development of our country. We provide employment opportunities for an average of 800 people on a 50 thousand m2 campus.

One of the key areas we focus on in the field of corporate social responsibility is education. Based on the necessity and importance of education in personal and career growth, we provide vast educational opportunities to thousands of students through 4 school projects. We continue to support different public needs with our mosque, police station, and university building projects.

With our social responsibility projects for young people, our founder Mustafa Gürkan was awarded “The Outstanding Service Award” by the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
